Wanted Outlaw Cm- - - - - - Fm- - - - Cm- - - G7- Cm- G7- by Jeremy Meyer (horn) I got a dead man for a father I’ve been an orphan my whole life Too much drinkin and a gamblin Well it cost him and his wife Well I made my way up on my own Until the deputy took me in Well I had grown up keen and I knew the woods Like a tinker man knows his tin (horn) Well we would go out with the shadows And though we knew our ways of sin Well we’d burn and we’d pillage, ransack the whole village Paid in gold or blood for their King (horn) And through these times of oppression you can see A man stand and fights for what’s good He held the devil between his fingers And they called him Robin of the hood (horn) Well now through these woodlands we would follow Well few signs though I saw I found that man and his fellows waiting I lost my life to a wanted outlaw (bridge) He stooped to the ground He ran the dirt through his fingers As he stood and looked around he saw All the space between us He knocked an arrow from his quiver The only one he had left Drew the sinew to his cheekbone and we Breathed my last breath (horn) Well I guess its time to explain my story He saw my eyes looked inside and could tell My existence was scarred, my mind had grown hard And my life had been a living hell (horn) (end on G7)
